To be honest, I have no experience outside of this class when it comes to any digital storytelling. However, I do have experience with creating zines. Two years ago, I took a class that was centered around the history of zines and how to create them. As I took this course, I realized that I wanted to use this as a tool for my students to express themselves and share their writing.

Fast forward to CURRINS547. The class has been introduced to BookTalks and different ways books can be talked about/summarized online. I found the multiple ways influencers and students discuss books on the Internet (such as book trailers, 60 second booktalks, music videos etc) fascinating, and a method that I would like to use with my own students, since it will give them more room for creativity and self expression, rather than just having each student be confined to the same assignment prompt.
